Vetivert essential oil is 50% Sesquiterpenes and around 20% Sesquiterpenols which means it has powerful relaxing properties, and is often used for emotional and spiritual care.

It is beautiful when combined with lavender to help with sleep, or citrus oils to help relax and calm during a fraught day. It helps us cope with stress, anger, fear and anxiety.

As vetivert is so grounding it can be used in combination with frankincense, and for chakra work is has a synergy with the root chakra.

In skincare, vertivert is useful for oily, acne prone skin.

Vetivert essential oil is steam distilled from the vetiver root.

100% pure vetivert essential oil – nothing else is added.

Blend 5-10 drops and add to a bath.

Mix 5-10 drops with water to use in an oil burner.

Mix 6-10 drops with hot water as an inhalation.

Patch test before use on the skin.

Vetivert essential oil blends well with lavender, frankincense, jasmine, patchouli, clary sage, marjoram, lemon, rose and sandalwood.

For use on the skin, dilute up to a maximum of 15% essential oil in a carrier oil.
